No:336/25, Press release on the telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov

On 9 August 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan conveyed his sincere congratulations on the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and the United States during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United States, as well as on the historic achievements in the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process.
It was noted that the signed documents are of great importance for ensuring peace and stability in the region. It was emphasized that the initialing of the peace agreement, as well as the joint call for the abolition of the OSCE Minsk Process and its relevant structures, constitute a significant contribution to peace.
During the telephone conversation, issues arising from the Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan strategic allied relations, including plans for the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of multilateral cooperation, were also discussed.
