On July 18, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Vice President of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag), Katrin Göring-Eckardt.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, noting the importance of developing bilateral relations with Germany, including the inter-parliamentary cooperation, taking into account that this year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations recalled with satisfaction his visit to Germany in March of this year and the meetings held.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on bilateral and regional issues, as well as on the situation in Ukraine and around it, and issues of energy security. The work and prospects of Azerbaijan in the field of energy security, export of energy resources to Europe and development of alternative energy resources were discussed.
At the meeting, the opposite side was also informed about the current regional situation after the victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War, peace-building efforts, reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as "green energy" projects in the liberated territories.
Then, humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were discussed.
