On 23 July 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Azerbaijan, George Deek, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to Ambassador George Deek for his effective diplomatic activity in Azerbaijan and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, as well as the regional situation, were discussed.
Cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, trade, energy, investment, and humanitarian spheres was commended, and it was emphasized that the relations have broad prospects for further development.
It was noted that the tense situation in the Middle East is a matter of serious concern, and that Azerbaijan supports the establishment of peace and stability and is always ready to contribute to this process.
Ambassador George Deek expressed that he will always remember his six-year tenure as Israel’s ambassador to Azerbaijan and thanked for the support provided during his mission.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
