Within the framework of the Committee meeting, views were exchanged on key areas of cooperation among CICA member states. In this context, Azerbaijan’s active role during its Chairmanship of CICA under the theme “Stronger CICA: digitalization, connectivity, and sustainable development in Asia,” as well as its practical and result-oriented initiatives, were highly appreciated by member states.

During the event, the annual implementation of confidence-building measures in the environmental dimension was also reviewed. Member states were informed about actions undertaken to ensure sustainable development and environmental protection within the CICA area. The historic outcomes achieved under Azerbaijan’s COP29 Chairmanship were appreciated.
