On 18 July 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During the telephone conversation, issues arising from the existing strategic partnership between the two countries, opportunities for expanding the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda, as well as regional and international security matters of mutual interest were discussed.
The sides discussed the political, economic, security, and humanitarian aspects of the Azerbaijan–Pakistan strategic partnership based on mutual solidarity, friendship, and brotherhood, and noted the importance of utilizing existing opportunities to further strengthen cooperation.
Issues of cooperation within regional and international organizations, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, were also discussed.
During the telephone conversation, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
