No:289/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the meeting of the Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the delegation of the Rapporteur Group on Democracy (GR-DEM) of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe
On June 17, 2022, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with a delegation consisting of the Ambassadors of several member countries of the Rapporteur Group on Democracy (GR-DEM) of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, led by Marten Enberg, Chairman of the GR-DEM of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE) and Permanent Representative of Sweden to the CoE.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe in various areas, the implementation mechanisms of the Council of Europe's Action Plan for our country for 2022-2025.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the opposite side on the situation in the region after the conflict, the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated areas, demining process, and the steps taken by the Azerbaijani government towards peacebuilding.
The members of the delegation shared their impressions of the visit and stressed the importance of the meetings and discussions held in terms of getting acquainted with the country on the spot, especially with the development of the country.
The Minister answered the questions of the delegation and an exchange of views took place on issues of mutual interest.
