On May 14, 2022, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The Ministers noted with satisfaction the high level of development of bilateral relations.
The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, transport, humanitarian and other fields.
The activities of the Iran-Azerbaijan State Commission for Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached in this framework were praised.
The sides noted that reciprocal visits gave a positive impetus to the development of relations. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov accepted with satisfaction the invitation of his counterpart to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran and said the visit would take place in the near future.
The sides also discussed the regional situation and issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.
