No:225/22, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the meetings of the Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov in the Paraguayan Senate and House of Representatives
On May 10, 2022, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov met with President of the Paraguayan Senate Óscar Salomón, Head of the Paraguay-Azerbaijan Friendship Group in the Senate Lucas Aquino, members of the Foreign Relations Commission and heads of various Paraguayan chambers of commerce.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of expanding bilateral inter-parliamentary relations and the need for comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation.
On the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov also met with Walter Harms, President of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Paraguayan House of Representatives and Head of the Paraguay-Azerbaijan Friendship Group.
The Azerbaijani official thanked Paraguay for its continued support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, including the resolution adopted by the Paraguayan Parliament on the recognition of the Khojaly genocide.
At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Paraguay in the framework of international inter-parliamentary organizations.
