On 30 May 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the delegation led by the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs of the United States Joshua Huck.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the current state of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia were discussed.
The importance of historical relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in a number of areas, including energy security and beneficial cooperation in several other fields, and the necessity of developing bilateral relations within the framework of mutual interests were noted.
During the meeting, regional energy projects, plans in the field of alternative energy, prospects of transport and communication routes, and joint cooperation activities with Central Asia were reviewed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided the other side with information on the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the existing obstacles.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
