On 29 April 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samir Sharifov, met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev.
The Ambassador first presented copies of his credentials.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine were discussed.
Ambassador Yuriy Husyev, for his part, expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for its support to Ukraine and emphasized his readiness to make every effort to strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
The sides also exchanged views on issues on the agenda related to global and regional security.
The Ambassador was wished success in his diplomatic mission in the country.
