No:163/26, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi

On 18 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi within the framework of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, as well as the situation in the Middle East region were discussed.
The importance of further increasing efforts to develop the existing friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan, and to further expand cooperation both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations was emphasized.
It was brought to attention that the mutual support based on friendship and solidarity between our countries within the framework of multilateral platforms such as the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, CICA, etc. is commendable.
During the meeting, the Ministers discussed in detail the current security situation in the Middle East.
The sides stated that the crisis can only be resolved through political and diplomatic means and expressed hope that dialogue and negotiations will be successful.
At the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
