Within the framework of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, was received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized with satisfaction that the strategic partnership relations established between Azerbaijan and the brotherly Kyrgyz Republic, with which we share historical, cultural and religious commonalities, are steadily strengthening and becoming richer in substance.
It was noted that the active political dialogue between our countries contributes to the successful development of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, humanitarian, cultural, educational and other fields.
It was underlined that benefiting from the transit opportunities of the Middle Corridor by Central Asian countries, including Kyrgyzstan, would give an additional impetus to strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
The importance of continuing coordinated activities and mutual support between our countries within international and regional organizations, particularly the United Nations, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as other platforms, was emphasized. The significance of the informal and formal summits of the Organization of Turkic States to be held in Shusha in July and in Kyrgyzstan in October of this year was highlighted.
It was emphasized that Azerbaijan will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) this year, which creates additional opportunities for active cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan within this framework.
Speaking about the reconstruction and rebuilding works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz Republic for the decision to build a secondary school in the village of Khydyrli in Aghdam.
President Sadyr Japarov noted that interstate relations between the two countries have further deepened in recent years and expressed satisfaction with the activities of the Intergovernmental Council at the level of heads of state.
It was emphasized that the dynamically developing and strengthening bilateral relations create opportunities for expanding interaction between parliaments, governments, and relevant ministries.
The sides also exchanged views on issues related to the upcoming visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan.
