No:144/25, Press release on the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan

On 11 April 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

 

During the meeting, political, security, economic, transport-communications and humanitarian issues on the Azerbaijan–Türkiye allied agenda, cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations, as well as security issues of mutual interest were discussed.

 

It was noted that the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, organized for the fourth time, has become one of the important platforms for discussing current issues in the system of international relations.

 

In particular, the importance of negotiations and diplomacy in addressing security problems and instability observed at the regional and international levels was emphasized.

 

It was noted with satisfaction that the allied relations based on Azerbaijan–Türkiye brotherhood are successfully continuing at all levels and platforms.

 

The exceptional role of the highest-level dialogue between the leaders of both countries in further expanding relations was emphasized.

 

The importance of further strengthening cooperation within regional and international organizations, especially within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, was highlighted.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other side in detail about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the large-scale reconstruction and restoration works carried out in the territories liberated from occupation, efforts to combat the mine threat, as well as the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process and existing obstacles.

 

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
