No:139/25, Press release on the first oath-taking ceremony of employees admitted to the permanent diplomatic service

On 9 April 2025, the first oath-taking ceremony of employees admitted to the permanent diplomatic service was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The oath-taking ceremony was organized in accordance with the requirements of Article 20 of the new Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Diplomatic Service.”
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by employees who successfully passed the diplomatic service admission examination conducted jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Examination Center, and who were appointed for a period of 6 months as trainees, and subsequently to the position of attaché with a 3-month probation period.
The employees then signed the written text of the oath, which will be kept in their personal files, in accordance with Article 20.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Diplomatic Service.”
