No:102/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

On 11 March 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, was received by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude to the Head of State of Kazakhstan for the prompt and comprehensive support provided in connection with the crash of the passenger aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines near the city of Aktau in December last year.
It was stated that the Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan strategic partnership relations are exemplary in nature against the background of historical brotherhood between our peoples, shared traditions, culture and linguistic commonalities, as well as open and sincere relations based on mutual respect and trust between our Heads of State.
The importance of further intensifying the rich cooperation between our countries in political-economic, trade-investment, industrial-technological, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian, scientific-educational and other fields with new driving elements was emphasized.
It was stated that cooperation based on mutual support, solidarity and joint initiatives within regional and international organizations, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, is commendable. Gratitude was expressed for the participation of the Head of State of Kazakhstan in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, successfully hosted by Azerbaijan in November last year, and Kazakhstan’s joining of the initiatives put forward by our country was highly appreciated.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues of mutual interest, as well as on the regional situation and recent developments in the post-conflict period.
