On March 8, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amirabdollahian.
The Ministers exchanged congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The sides noted the importance of the next meeting of the State Commission for Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will be held in Azerbaijan on March 9-10. In this regard, it was stressed with satisfaction that along with the official delegation of Iran, a group of businessmen would visit Azerbaijan.
The Ministers also discussed regional issues, as well as the situation in Ukraine.
The Ministers exchanged views on the progress of talks in Vienna on Iran's nuclear program, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
