On 2 March 2026, a telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev.
During the call, the ongoing military escalation and rising tensions in the region were discussed.
The Ministers expressed deep concern over the recent escalation and underscored that a further deterioration of the situation would pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The parties noted that strengthening cooperation between the consular sections of their diplomatic missions in the region and organizing coordinated efforts to support their citizens would be beneficial.
The telephone conversation also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
