On 1 March 2026, a telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi.
During the call, the views were exchanged on the military escalation and rising tensions in the region.
The Ministers expressed deep concern over the recent escalation and underscored that a further deterioration of the situation would pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The necessity of de-escalation and the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to restore the negotiation process were highlighted.
The ministers also emphasized the need to protect civilians and infrastructure.
In addition, the conversation included an exchange of views on other regional and international matters of mutual interest.
