Q&A session:

Question: Turbat Bagirova, CBS TV channel: As you know, Islamophobia around the world is the most alarming trend in the current period. How does Azerbaijan and Morocco contribute to the fight against increasing trends of Islamophobia and what further steps can be taken within the framework of Islamic cooperation?

Elmar Mammadyarov: First of all, it should be noted that all UN member states have committed to fulfill the UN Security Council resolutions on the basis of the UN Charter.

We have expressed our concern regarding the growing Islamophobia trends. Islamophobia is now being artificially put forward into the global politics. We had detailed discussions with my colleague about the working mechanism of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. However, as the member states of this organization, we should try to strengthen solidarity among all member states within the organization to fight against the negative effects of Islamophobia as well as other similar phenomena.

Thank you for your attention.
