No:052/23, Press release on the Operation Centers put in service after the earthquake that affected Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces of Türkiye
After the earthquake occurred in Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces of Türkiye on February 6, 2023, Operation Centers were established in the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Türkiye, as well as in the Consulates General in the cities of Istanbul and Kars.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye is in constant contact with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Türkiye, AFAD Agency, other relevant state bodies of Türkiye, as well as the head of the team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan that is in Turkey to provide assistance, and investigates if any citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are affected by the earthquake.
The Embassy is in regular contact with Azerbaijani students studying in Turkey.
