No:019/25, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to our country Cahit Bağcı

On 23 January 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to our country Cahit Bağcı on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, various aspects of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance, as well as regional and international security issues of mutual interest, were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again conveyed condolences to the brotherly Republic of Türkiye in connection with the tragic fire that occurred in Bolu, wished mercy from Allah to those who lost their lives as a result of the terrible incident, recovery to the injured, and emphasized that Azerbaijan always stands by the state and people of Türkiye.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Cahit Bağcı for his effective diplomatic activity in our country and for his contributions to the Azerbaijan-Türkiye brotherhood, friendship and alliance, and wished him success in his future endeavors. It was particularly noted that his activity as Ambassador during the historic periods of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance marked by the signing of the Shusha Declaration is memorable.
It was emphasized that the successful development of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye alliance in political, security, economic, trade, investment, energy security, transport and communications, humanitarian and other areas is a source of satisfaction.
The importance of our continuous support and solidarity within the framework of regional and international organizations, as well as a number of multilateral formats, was noted.
Confidence was expressed that the joint activities of our countries contributing to regional and international security in a broad sense will continue, and in this direction, it was noted that Azerbaijan will continue to support stability and the resolution of humanitarian issues in the Middle East and Syria together with brotherly Türkiye. It was stated that there are broad prospects for our country’s joint cooperation with Türkiye on the African continent.
Ambassador Cahit Bağcı, noting that he will always remember with pride his activity as Türkiye’s Ambassador to brotherly Azerbaijan, expressed his gratitude for the support shown and stated that he is ready to continue to contribute to the Azerbaijan-Türkiye brotherhood and alliance.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
