In accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Safarli Farid Gabil oghlu, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who was detained in the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2023, was received from the Islamic Republic of Iran on 18 January 2025 within the framework of international legal cooperation and mutual procedures and returned to our country.
After undergoing a medical examination, Farid Safarli was reunited with his family.
Necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan outside the country will continue to be taken.
