No:671/23, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha

On 22 November 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), who is on a visit to our country.
During the meeting, the existing cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the OIC and prospects for relations, preparations for the OIC Summit to be held next year and other high-level events, our country’s plans in this regard, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the close cooperation relations established with the Organization. It was noted that the opening of the OIC Labour Centre in Baku by the Secretary General within the framework of the 5th Conference of Labour Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Baku would further advance relations within the framework of the Organization.
It was noted that the joint work to be carried out would serve to expand cooperation among member countries in the fields of labour, employment, social protection and human capital development.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
