On 13 November 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Rachid Talbi El Alami within the framework of his official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the current level of friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco, touched upon the prospects for the development of interparliamentary relations between the two countries, and emphasized the importance of intensifying the activities of the Morocco-Azerbaijan friendship group and the interparliamentary relations group.
He also emphasized that there is great potential for the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and that the intensification of mutual visits and political consultations will give impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, humanitarian, education, tourism and other fields.
The Minister also informed the other side about Armenia’s nearly 30-year occupation of the territory of our country, the post-conflict period, restoration and reconstruction works in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic regions, Azerbaijan’s plans for establishing sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, and the practical steps taken in this direction.
During the meeting, the sides also emphasized that strengthening the treaty-legal framework between the two countries will serve the development of cooperation in new promising areas.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on new areas of cooperation and other bilateral and regional topics of mutual interest.
