On 16 September 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Issam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to our country.
During the meeting, the Ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister wished success to the Ambassador of the friendly country, Saudi Arabia.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the existence of a bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia in various fields, including political, economic, energy security, humanitarian and other fields, and stated that mutual visits and contacts play an important role in the development of relations. In particular, the demonstration of mutual solidarity between the two countries within international organizations, as well as support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, was recalled with satisfaction.
The importance of mutual visits of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and consultations held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs was emphasized.
The Ambassador spoke about the development of relations between the two countries and the bilateral meetings held recently. He noted that he would further increase efforts towards further expanding trade turnover between our countries.
At the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
