On 12 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov participated in the opening of a carpet exhibition consisting of works by Azerbaijani artist Faig Ahmed at the United Nations Office at Geneva within the framework of his working visit to the Swiss Confederation.
Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), officials of international organizations based in Geneva, and ambassadors of foreign countries attended the opening of the exhibition.
Delivering an opening speech at the event, Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), emphasized that the said exhibition creates an opportunity to more closely introduce Azerbaijan’s rich culture and the art of carpet weaving.
The exhibition, the exposition of which consists of numerous works and installations, as well as carpets that occupy an important place in the artist’s creativity, will be open to visitors of the UN Office for 12 days.
