No:478/23, Press release on the summoning of the Ambassador of Argentina to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 11 September 2023, Mariángeles Bellusci, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
During the meeting, a note of protest of the MFA was presented to the Ambassador of Argentina in connection with the biased views voiced against our country by President of Argentina Alberto Fernández on 9 September 2023 during the G20 Summit in New Delhi.
It was stated that the voicing of such groundless views, which distort the realities in the region based on the smear campaign carried out by Armenia against Azerbaijan and reflect terminology against our sovereignty and territorial integrity, is regrettable.
It was stated that the proposals put forward by Azerbaijan to use alternative roads, including the Aghdam-Khankendi road, in order to meet the needs of Armenian residents, and the fact that the food products sent are still not being accepted, demonstrate that the situation is not humanitarian, as Armenia claims, but political in nature.
In this regard, it was emphasized to the Argentine side that it is important to refrain from statements against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
