No:451/23, Press release on the act of vandalism against the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Lebanon

Nearly 50 persons of Armenian origin, who held a protest in front of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Lebanon, struck the fence around the administrative building of the Embassy and threw bottles containing paint and fitted with explosives, which they had brought with them, at the administrative building of the Embassy.
As a result of the attack, the staff of the Embassy were not injured.
As soon as the institution responsible for the protection of diplomatic missions was informed about the incident, law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene, but by that time the provocateurs had managed to leave the area.
In connection with this attack committed against the Embassy, a relevant note was presented to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon with the aim of identifying and arresting the perpetrators, and relevant measures are being carried out accordingly.
At present, the protection of the Embassy has been further strengthened and an investigation is being conducted into the crime committed.
