No:424/23, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Ambassador of Jordan to Azerbaijan Sami Asem Ghosheh

On 3 August 2023, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Sami Asem Ghosheh, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic tenure in our country.
At the meeting, issues on the bilateral, including multilateral, cooperation agenda between the two countries and prospects for the development of relations were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked Ambassador Sami Asem Ghosheh for his efforts in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan during his tenure, and wished him success in his future activities.
Speaking about the existence of a mutually beneficial cooperation agenda between the two countries in various fields, including political, economic, humanitarian, cultural, tourism and other fields, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted the importance of mutual contacts and the political consultations mechanism in the development of relations. The importance of further continuing cooperation within regional and international organizations and platforms, including the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), was emphasized.
Ambassador Sami Asem Ghosheh stated that the global initiatives put forward by our country during his diplomatic tenure as Ambassador in Azerbaijan are commendable. It was noted that there are prospects for closer cooperation between Jordan and Azerbaijan in various fields, and in this regard, the importance of continuing contacts between the two countries was emphasized.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
