No:335/23, Press release on the results of the competition for admission to diplomatic service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2022 and preparations for the next competition

In order to improve the staffing process of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, admission to diplomatic service is carried out in a centralized manner in the format of a competition based on professional criteria and the principles of equality and transparency.
For this purpose, in 2022, a competition consisting of two main stages — a written examination and an interview — was organized with the support of the State Examination Center.
The written examination stage of the competition was organized by the State Examination Center on 23 January 2022. 460 people participated in the noted examination. In the written examination, candidates were presented with closed- and open-ended test tasks, as well as essay tasks in the Azerbaijani language and foreign language blocks. In accordance with the requirements set for the candidates, each component of the written examination — the test, the essay completed in Azerbaijani and the essay completed in a foreign language — was taken into account independently and equally in order to identify the first 100 participants with the highest results.
Based on the results of the competition, the results of 67 candidates were considered satisfactory within the established conditions, and it was announced that the candidates would be recruited to the MFA for vacancies within 2 years. Currently, 90% of the candidates who successfully passed all stages of the competition have already been recruited to diplomatic service. The recruitment process is planned to be completed in the coming months.
Preparatory work towards organizing the next recruitment competition for diplomatic service has already been completed, and an announcement in this regard will be made in the coming days.
