No:266/23, Press release on the meeting of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov with the parliamentary delegation of Croatia

On 15 May 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov met with the delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia Davorko Vidović, who is visiting our country to participate in the special session of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that effective cooperation relations based on mutual respect and trust between our countries over many years have risen to the level of strategic partnership, and that political dialogue, exchanges of official visits, as well as interparliamentary cooperation have played an important role in this process. It was stated that there is broad potential for further developing relations.
Kh. Khalafov provided detailed information about the new realities that emerged in the region in the post-conflict period and the restoration and construction works carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
D. Vidović noted that he was pleased to visit friendly Azerbaijan and that Croatia is interested in further expanding cooperation with our country. The Croatian Vice-Speaker, emphasizing the importance of ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region, highly appreciated Azerbaijan’s efforts in this regard.
