No:143/23, Press release on the evacuation of citizens affected by the earthquake in Türkiye

Within the framework of support measures for citizens of Azerbaijan affected by the earthquake in Türkiye, the last planned evacuation of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and foreign citizens who are their close family members from the earthquake zone was carried out on 10 March.
Thus, since the day the earthquake occurred, a total of 686 people have been evacuated.
Relevant measures have been carried out by the relevant state institutions towards providing necessary medical, humanitarian and psychological assistance to our citizens and their family members evacuated from the Republic of Türkiye and, if necessary, placing these persons in temporary shelter centers.
So far, it has still not been possible to obtain information about 2 citizens of Azerbaijan, and searches for them continue.
We extend our deep condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in the earthquake. May Allah have mercy on them!
