On 12 February, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah within the framework of his working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, emphasizing that relations between the two countries have historically been built on the principles of friendship, stated that our country intends to further expand the existing cooperation.
Stating that relations are successfully developing both in bilateral and multilateral formats, the Minister spoke about the importance of cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international organizations.
The Ministers conducted an exchange of views on future plans regarding the “Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait,” which they co-chair, and the Summit of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement on the fight against COVID-19, planned to be held in Baku in March.
The sides also discussed possible prospects for cooperation in the fields of tourism, science, education, culture and other areas.
