No:668/23, Press release on the meeting between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to our country

On 21 November 2023, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Henzab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to our country, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan-Qatar cooperation is based on mutual respect, support and cooperation.
It was emphasized that the close friendly and brotherly relations existing between the two countries, as well as intensive contacts, constitute the basis of our political dialogue.
Gratitude was expressed for Qatar’s continued support for Azerbaijan’s just position based on international law over the past 30 years during which the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict continued.
It was stated that there is great potential and prospects for Azerbaijan-Qatar cooperation and partnership in the fields of economy, infrastructure, trade, tourism, education, culture, media and humanitarian exchange.
Gratitude was expressed to the Ambassador for his contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Qatar relations, and success was wished to him in his future activities.
Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah Al Henzab expressed his gratitude for the reception and the kind words addressed to him, noted that he was leaving Azerbaijan with the fondest impressions, and expressed gratitude for the support he received from Azerbaijan’s state and government agencies and organizations during his tenure.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
