On 27 September 2023, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
During the telephone conversation, the existing cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated Azerbaijan’s commitment to dialogue on the reintegration of Armenian residents living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan, and that our country will continue comprehensive measures to meet the needs of Armenian residents.
It was emphasized that work is being carried out on the dissolution of the so-called regime in the territories of Azerbaijan and the disarmament of Armenian armed forces, as well as their withdrawal from the territories of Azerbaijan, and at the same time, that Azerbaijan is interested in advancing the peace process with Armenia.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
