No:475/25, Press release on the meetings of the Special Working Group and of the Senior Officials Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICA)

On 15 and 17 December 2025, online meetings of the Special Working Group and of the Senior Officials Committee of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICA) were held under the Chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the meetings, the CICA Member States discussed the key areas of cooperation and interaction within the Conference and its advisory bodies, including plan and respective concepts of confidence-building measures and related events for 2026.
Member States also exchanged views over the institutional development of the CICA, including its ongoing transformation process into international organization in line with the decision of the 6th CICA Summit and expressed their support to the activities of the Chairmanship in this direction.
During the session of the Senior Officials Committee, the Secretary General presented to Member States the annual report on the activities of the CICA under the Chairmanship of Azerbaijan throughout 2025.
The Committee reviewed and adopted the decisions concerning the CICA Plan of Implementation of Confidence-Building Measures and on the budget of the CICA Secretariat for 2026, along with other procedural decisions.
