No:378/23, Press release on the meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov with Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Ahmed Attaf

On 6 July, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Ahmed Attaf, who is visiting our country within the framework of the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on prospects for expanding the existing friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Algeria, and the importance of continuing political dialogue and mutual high-level visits between the two countries was mentioned.
The importance of the mechanism of political consultations, meetings of intergovernmental economic commissions and business forums for deepening relations in all directions was emphasized.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Ahmed Attaf stated that he is satisfied with the upward development of cooperation between our countries. Minister Ahmed Attaf, congratulating our country on its successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement during a difficult period related to the COVID-19 pandemic, appreciated the initiatives put forward towards the institutionalization of the Movement. In this regard, he highly appreciated the initiative to establish various platforms within the framework of the Movement.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment and other areas, as well as cooperation issues in regional and multilateral formats.
