No: 326/26 Press Release on Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia

On 28 July, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia was held in the city of Belgrade.
The delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the delegation of the Republic of Serbia was led by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović.
At the meeting, the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries, and the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in the political, economic, energy and humanitarian fields, were discussed. The sides also exchanged views on mutual action on international platforms, on further developing cooperation within the framework of various international organizations, as well as on the work to be carried out towards expanding the treaty and legal framework between the two countries.
Within the framework of the political consultations, detailed information was provided on the steps taken by Azerbaijan towards promoting sustainable peace and cooperation in the region, the humanitarian challenges posed by the threat of mines in the liberated territories, as well as the large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects being carried out in those territories.
Within the framework of the visit, F. Rzayev also held meetings with Adviser to the President of the Republic of Serbia Tatjana Jović and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marina Ragus, and took part in round-table discussions organized with researchers and experts at Serbia's Institute of International Politics and Economics.
