No:263/26, Press release on political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Estonia

On 11 June, the next political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Estonia were held in Baku.
The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the Estonian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Roger.
Within the framework of the consultations, the current state of political relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia was reviewed, and the role of mutual visits and meetings held on international platforms in ensuring the continuity of bilateral dialogue was particularly noted.
Satisfaction was expressed with the commencement of the activities of the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the current state and future development prospects of cooperation in the economic, humanitarian and education fields were discussed. At the same time, an exchange of views was conducted on strategic energy and transport projects implemented at the initiative and with the active participation of Azerbaijan, as well as prospects for cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The sides held discussions on the current situation in the region, the work carried out towards the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, as well as the large-scale restoration, reconstruction and demining measures implemented in the liberated territories.
In addition, other regional and international issues of mutual interest were also in focus.
