No:262/26, Press release on consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria

On 10 June, the first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria were held in Baku.
At the consultations, the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department, while the Austrian delegation was headed by Rene Amri, Deputy Director General for Consular Affairs.
During the consular consultations, the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the consular field with the Republic of Austria, as well as opportunities for signing new bilateral documents in this field and digitalizing consular services, were reviewed, and detailed discussions were held on a number of draft documents under consideration.
Information was exchanged on the latest innovations implemented in the consular field, including an exchange of views on proposals towards strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Austria in the fields of legal assistance, education, migration, labour and other areas.
