No:184/26, Press release on political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Luxembourg

On 24 April, political consultations were held in Luxembourg between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

 

The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the Luxembourg side was headed by Veronique Dockendorf, Head of the Political Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of this country.

 

During the consultations, the sides conducted an extensive exchange of views on issues of bilateral cooperation. In this context, the current situation and development prospects of political relations, cooperation in the consular field, economic relations, as well as humanitarian ties in the fields of education, science and culture were reviewed.

 

The sides emphasized the importance of mutual visits and contacts within the framework of international events in terms of ensuring continuous political dialogue.

 

Issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including mutual support for candidacies, were discussed.

 

During the consultations, a detailed exchange of views was conducted on the current situation in the region, the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, large-scale restoration, reconstruction and demining works carried out in our liberated territories, as well as international issues of mutual interest.

 

Within the framework of the visit, F. Rzayev also held a number of business meetings in Luxembourg, as well as participated in discussions organized in a roundtable format at the University of Luxembourg.
