No:051/23, Press release on the telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov made a phone call to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the Government and people of Türkiye as a result of the powerful earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep and other southern regions of brotherly Türkiye. The Minister wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan always stands by brotherly Türkiye and is ready to provide every assistance towards eliminating the consequences of the earthquake.
It was stated that, upon the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, agile rescue forces consisting initially of 370 people will leave for brotherly Türkiye in the coming hours in order to support search and rescue operations.
Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed his gratitude for this solidarity and support provided.
