No:171/19, Commentary of the Press Service Department of the MFA of Azerbaijan (En/Ru)
In order to establish environment conducive to peace, as it is indicated in the recent statement of the MFA of Armenia, one needs to act accordingly. We wonder how the orders of the Armenian defence minister to kill the Azerbaijani servicemen and decorations of snipers are in line with establishing peace environment?! Reminding that Azerbaijan is an interested party at the soonest resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and per se advancement of the negotiations, we emphasize that one of the most important goals of the negotiations is the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. Unless the armed forces of Armenia remain illegally in the territories of Azerbaijan, there can be no major part of the talks. Sooner Armenia recognizes these realities, quicker the sustainable peace, development and prosperity will be ensured in our region.

Чтобы создать атмосферу, способствующую миру, как то указано в недавнем заявлении МИД Армении, необходимо и действовать соответствующим образом. Интересно, насколько приказы министра обороны Армении убить азербайджанских военнослужащих и награждение снайперов соответствуют созданию атмосферы мира?! Напоминая, что Азербайджан является заинтересованной стороной в скорейшем урегулировании армяно-азербайджанского конфликта и продвижении переговоров как таковом, мы подчёркиваем, что одной из наиболее важных целей переговоров является вывод вооружённых сил Армении с оккупированных территорий Азербайджана. До тех пор, пока вооружённые силы Армении незаконно продолжают находиться на территориях Азербайджана, не может быть никакой основной части переговоров. Чем скорее Армения признает эти реалии, тем быстрее в нашем регионе будет обеспечен устойчивый мир, развитие и процветание.
