Bilateral relations

The Republic of Ireland recognized the independence of Azerbaijan in 1991. On July 1, 1996 the two countries established diplomatic relations.

A working group on Azerbaijan-Ireland interparliamentary relations has been established in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The current head of the group is Erkin Gadirli.

Economic cooperation

Currently about 14 Irish companies are operating in Azerbaijan.
