Khalaf Khalafov

Born: on September 21, 1959, Armenian SSR

1977-1982 - studied International law at Kyiv State University, Faculty of International law and  International relations

1983-1990 - Inspector, Head of Division at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

1990-1991 - Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, postgraduate study

1991-1992 - Second secretary of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

1992-1997 - Head of the Treaty and Legal Division, Head of the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

1997-2018 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

2018-2019 - Chief of Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan

2019 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for border and the Caspian Sea issues

Was awarded the degree of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan (12.01.2002), the Honorary Title "Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Azerbaijan" (17.09.2009), the State Counselor's degree of the first degree (27.12.2018), the Order "For Service to the Homeland" of the second degree (09.07.2019)
